I use it for my turning projects, of course, but for the last couple years I've used it for all my milling projects too, with the help of a milling attachment. The Y-axis and Z-axis are supported on 2 1/2 inch square steel tubing to provide a very solid feel. I have A cnc TAIG Mill with the 18" Table, This machine has the CNC Leadscrew nuts. I am getting backlash that I just cannot tolerate as I machine many parts that have bearing fits machined into them. Has anyone installed ball screws on the Taig mill? If so can you elaborate on the process. I am open to listening to any ideas on correcting this problem.

Mar 10, 2016· Overall, I'd say this 5 axis mill is decent for the money. For someone who makes small, complex metal parts, it would be very useful. That tiny engine block they machine is a good example. I still won't be buying one though, but I would consider it if I wasn't building a bigger 9 axis machine.
